Nursing of reactive synovitis patients after arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament recons-truction

Objective To study the nursing of reactive synovitis patients after arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament（ACL） reconstruction. Methods ACL was reconstructed for 302 patients in 2005-2008. Among these patients, reactive synovitis occurred in 8 （7 males and 1 female） with an incidence of 2.65%. Arthroscopic debridement and washing were performed for reactive synovitis. The patients were nursed and received rehabilitation training. Results The lysholm score of knee joint was 81.6±9.5 and the motion of knee joint was （88.8±8.3） degree. Lachman and anterior drawer test were positive in 1 patient who had no clinical symptom. Conclusion Careful nursing and targeted rehabilitation exercises can promote recovery of reactive synovitis patients after arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.
