Abstract
46 patients with small cell lung cancer were treated with combined treatment. They were ofstage Ⅱ,Ⅲ,and Ⅳ including 8,14 and 24 cases respectively.Combined treatment consistedof chemotherapy, radiotherapy, chinese medicine,immuno-therapy and other adjuvant drugs.Gene-rally,the treatment started with chinese medicine and immunotherapy, and was followed with co-mbination chemotherapy (VCR,CTX,MTX and BCNU or CCNU etc) followed by radiotherapy.Inmajority continued chemotherapy lasted for more than 1 year in few cases even 3 to 5 years. In thestage Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ,2-year survival rate was 6/7(85.7%),4/11(36.4%) and 7/17(41.2%) res-pectively;and 5-year survival rate was 5/7(71.4%),1/8(12.5%) and 0/11(0%) respectively.Wi-th duration of chemotherapy ≤16 weeks, the average survival in 37 patients was 17.3±9.4 months;with duration>16 weeks,in 9 patients,it was 63.8+31.5months.There was significant dif-ference between them (t=4.386,p 0.001).Authors stressed on necessity of effective chemotherap(?)for more than 2.5 years.
