Abstract
Ultrasonic pulsed Doppler technique is an effective non-invasive method in diagnosing cardiac and vascular diseases, although the application of real time spectral display has some limitation owing to the fact it can not be used to analyse dynamic frequency shift spectrum quantitatively. In this study the writers introduced the principle and structure of a three dimensional spectrum scanner system of the ultrasonic pulsed Doppler flow which was made of a single board computer Z80 and a autonomic graphics plotter SR-6602 made in Japan, connected to the MK500 flow analyzer, applied for the preliminary clinical tests. This apparatus was used to collect the ultrasonic pulsed Doppler flow informations accurately in time of two seconds. These informations were recorded in the form of three dimensional spectral picture or stored into tape for future analysis processing. It can be seen from the clinical trial represented that this technique can provide plenty of flow dynamic informations and is an useful method analysis and studying cardiac and vascular diseases quantitatively. The instrument itself is stable and convenient for operation, and is of a clinically popularizing value.
