Abstract
Objective To measure the ocular anterior segment in myopia patients with Pentacam Scheimpflug system in order to provide the clinical data of myopia. Methods Five hundred and sixty-four myopia patients (1 128 eyes) were divided into low myopia group (292 eyes), moderate myopia group (320 eyes), high myopia group (322 eyes), and super high myopia group (194 eyes)according to the mean spherical equivalent. The ocular anterior segments at different sites of myopia patients were measured with Pentacam Scheimpflug imaging system and comparatively analyzed. Results The anterior keratometry was 43.31±1.35, 43.85±1.30, 43.77±1.50, 43.85±1.30 (P<0.05), respectively, in the 4 groups. The changes in myopic diopter were not associated with the other measured parameters (P>0.05). Conclusion The ocular anterior segments in myopia patients can be comprehensively, rapidly, and accurately analyzed with Pentacam Scheimpflug system, which is of clinical significance in refractive surgery.
