Changess of ANP concentration after burning in dogs

alpha-Human atrial natriuretic polypeptiele （alpha-hANP） is secreted from the human heart.It has been reported that alpha-hANP exert natriuretic,diuretic effects and possess the ability ofrelaxing isolated vascular and non-vascular smooth muscles.Our investigation focused on the changes of ANP concentration before and after burning in dogs.The results demonstrated that ANP concentration was increased in the plasma and was decr-eased obviously in the atrial tissue after burning in the dogs.It is suggested that the changes ofANP concentration relate to the regulation on balance of water and electrolytes in the body afterburning.
