Study of the neutral zone position and the clinical experience of complete denture

According to the study of the relation of the position of the neutral zone and that of the alveolar ridge crest and their own clinical experiences, the authors analyzed the traditional complete denture and the neutral zone denture, and focused the discussion on the arrangement of the artificial teeth and the contour of the denture. Following a comprehensive utilization of the biomechanics and the balance rule of the muscles and analyses of the anatomical and functional characteristics of each teeth area of the edentulous oral cavity, countermeasures for the manufacturing methods of the teeth arrangement and the denture contour were put forward.
