ERG in diabetic retinopathy

The traditional single flash ERG, average ERG （AERG） and oscillatory potential omponents of ERG （OP） were conducted in 34 eyes with diabetic retinopathy （DR）, and in 30 ormal eyes of age-marched individuals. As the DR became more severe, it was noticed that the mplitude of OP decreased, the peak latency of b-wave of AERG delayed, and the amplitude of a-ave of traditiomal ERG decreased. These changes were parallel with the severity of DR, hense he sugges that special attention should he paid to these ERG indexes in clinical investigation of DR with ERG technique.
