Human fetal river transplantaion (HFLT) in acute lymphocytic leukeamia (ALL)-Report 1 case

  • A boy, aged 12 years, with ALL was treated with HFLT after a conditioning regimen of high doses of CTX.Ara-C and total body irradiation. After HFLT,some evidences of chimars were demonstrated suggesting that a definite proof for non-permanent engraftment was present.With- out any further treatment, survival of the patient was achieved for 167 days with a stable comp- lete remission. There was no evidence of GVHD.Marrow transplantation still has it’s limitation for the wide use.although effective due to the lack of HLA compatible donors. On the other hand, source of fetal liver is more avaible in our country.Therefore.we suggest that HFLT merits it further investigation.
