Current status of lipid-lowering therapy for stable angina patients

Abstract
Objective To analyze the current status of lipid-lowering therapy for stable angina patients. Methods One hundred and fifty stable angina patients were treated with statins.Six months after discharge from hospital,they were followed up.Whether the patients persisted in taking medicine and its influencing factors were analyzed. Results A significant difference was found in civilization level,economic status,occupation and age between patients who regularly took medicine and those who did not(P<0.01).Fifty-two point eight percent of the patients did not regularly take medicine due to lack of health education. Conclusion Health education should be strengthened in stable angina patients who have an advanced age,a low education level and a worse economic state in order to reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular events.
