Abstract
This paper reported the use of fluorospectrophotometry in measuring the free vitamin E in serum, and the results and in 1161 cases. The normal values, determined from 564 cases in different age-groups, can be of clinical use. From the result in 238 cases receiving different health care, it is suggested that the optimum amount for health is within the range of 30-60 mg per day. From the results of 163 cases of five different diseases, it is obvious that a lower VE value in the serum is found in those children, with oligophrenia, epilepsy, and myopathy.
