Abstract:
The comorbidity of diabetes mellitus (DM) and osteoporosis (OP) has long been a topic of concern. DM can interfere with bone remodeling through different links, in the long-term management of diabetic patients with osteoporosis, some hypoglycemic drugs may affect bone metabolism in diabetic patients. In order to prevent adverse drug reactions from aggravating the development of the disease, this review describes the possible effects of DM and hypoglycemic drugs on bone metabolism and fracture to provide reference for clinicians on clinical medication.
