Abstract: As an innovative technological approach in the emerging field of surgical medicine, remote surgery has been gradually promoted and applied alongside advancements in communication technologies, robotic systems, and artificial intelligence. It serves as an effective supplement and optimization for ultra-remote medical treatment and frontline emergency response. This paper elaborates on the research progress of this technology in light of its current developmental status and applications across various fields, and also provides an outlook for its future.
