Abstract:
Ojbective: To explore specific molecular markers in side population of gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901.
Methods: The percentage of SP cells was detected in gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901 by using Hoechst33342 staining,and the expression of DNA-PKcs,FHIT,Id2,NFκB/p65 and p16 in SP cells were compared with those in non-SP cells through fluorescence immunocytochemical method.
Results: The percentage of SP cells in gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901 was 3.8%.The positive expression rates of FHIT,Id2 and p16 in SP cells were significantly lower than those in non-SP cells(P<0.001).There was no markedly difference in the positive expression rates of DNA-PKcs and NFκB/p65 between SP cells and non-SP cells.
Conclusions: FHIT,Id2 and p16 may be specific molecular markers to cancer stem cells in gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901,while DNA-PKcs and NFκB/p65 may not relate to cancer stem cell.
