Abstract:
Objective To retrospectively analyze the therapeutic effect of endoscopic therapy on hepatocirrhosis accompanying hemorrhage from esophageal varices in 128 patients.
Methods Hemorrhage from esophageal varices in 128 patients with hepatocirrhosis was treated by ligation, sclerotherapy and embolism with tissue adhesives under endoscope.
Results Bleeding from esophageal varices was stopped in 116 out of the 128 patients with a success rate of 90.6%.The hemostatic rate was 91.0%,95.0% and 90.0% respectively for ligation, sclerotherapy and embolism with tissue adhesives.Seven patients died with a mortality of 5.5%.No death occurred during the diagnosis and treatment of hemorrhage from esophageal varices under endoscope.
Conclusion The therapeutic effect of ligation, sclerotherapy and embolism with tissue adhesives under endoscope is rather good for patients with hepatocirrhosis accompanying hemorrhage from esophageal varices.
