Abstract:
Objective To study the consistency of transcranial Doppler(TCD) ultrasonic and magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) in detection of cerebral artery stenosis in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease.
Methods Systolic velocity(Vs) and mean velocity(Vm) of middle cerebral artery(MCA),anterial cerebral artery(ACA),and posterior cerebral artery(PCA),pulse index(PI),artery blood flow direction, and Doppler frequency in 79 patients with ischemic stroke were measured with TCD ultrasonic and magnetic resonance angiographic instruments.
Results The consistency of TCD ultrasonic and magnetic resonance angiography in detection of cerebral artery stensis was 85.23%.
Conclusion The consistency of TCD ultrasonic and magnetic resonance angiography in detection of cerebral artery stensis is rather good.TCD ultrasonic angiography is easy to perform, low in cost, and can be used in detection of cerebral artery stenosis.
