Abstract:
Objective To study the HER-1 and HER-2 expression in endometrial cancer (EC) and its effect on its prognosis.
Methods Clinical data about EC patients admitted to our hospital from January 2005 to March 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. Relation of HER-1 and HER-2 expression with EC pathology and prognosis was studied.
Results HER-1 was not related with classification, staging and invasion depth of EC (
P> 0.05). The positive and negative survival rate of HER-1 was 90.4% and 100%, respectively. The HER-1 expression was negatively related with the prognosis of EC (
P< 0.05). The HER-2 expression was not related with the invasion depth, differentiation degree and staging of EC (
P> 0.05). The positive and negative survival rate of HER-2 was 98.6% and 95.96%, respectively. The HER-2 expression was not related with the prognosis of EC (
P> 0.05).
Conclusion HER-1 is negatively related with the prognosis of EC and HER-2 is not related with invasion depth, classification and staging of EC.
