Abstract:
Objective To study relation of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and fibrinogen (FIB) with primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS).
Methods Serum levels of CRP, FIB were measured in 66 PNS patients (PNS group) and 40 healthy subjects (control group) by immune turbidimetry and compared with other biochemical indexes.
Results The serum CRP level was significantly higher in PNS group than in control group (
P< 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum CRP level was positively related with the body mass index(BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (
P< 0.05).The r value of CRP and FIB was 0.615 and 0.723 respectively, suggesting that CRP and FIB are positively related with 24 h urinary protein(
P< 0.05).
Conclusion Micro-inflammatory reaction and blood coagulation play a certain role in the occurrence and process of PNS.
