Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of HLA-G5 expression levels on delayed graft function (DGF) of kidneys.
Methods Expression levels of HLA-G5 in kidney transplantation recipients were measured by ELISA. Effects of HLA-G5 expression levels on DGF of kidneys were comparatively analyzed.
Results DGF did not occur in any kidney transplantation recipient with a high HLA-G5 expression level. However, the incidence of DGF was 57% in those with a low HLA-G5 expression level (
P< 0.05).
Conclusion DGF is closely related with HLA-G5 expression level in kidney transplantation recipients. HLA-G5 can reduce the incidence of DGF by decreasing the reject reaction.
