Abstract:
Objective To study the fndings of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in mesenteric artery of patients with Crohn's disease (CD).
Methods Clinical data were collected from 29 CD patients (18 males and 11 females) at the age of 18-55 years (mean 31 years) with their diagnosis established in The First Affliated Hospital of Chinese PLA General Hospital in the second half of 2012. Their general digital subtraction angiograms were compared with their vascular features, especially with the changes of their vascular lesions.
Results Among the 29 patients with abnormal DSA, lleocolic artery was dilated in 25 (86.2%), tortuous and disordered vascular branches were detected in 26 (89.7%), and the intestinal wall was strongly stained at the capillary phase in 28 (96.6%).
Conclusion Abnormal changes occurred in vascular lesions of CD patients can be detected by DSA, which can provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of CD.
