Abstract:
Objective To study the key clinical nursing techniques in 13 patients with isolated superior mesenteric artery (SMA) dissection after stenting.
Methods The nursing data about 13 patients with isolated SMA dissection after stenting in our department from August 2008 to October 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. The key nursing techniques and measures were summarized.
Results The 13 male patients received anticoagulation and anti-platelet therapy after stenting and discharged. No nursing–related complication occurred. The patients were followed up for 10±4 months during which no adverse events occurred.
Conclusion Close observation of abdominal symptoms, signs, puncture site and diet adjustment are the keys to the nursing of patients with isolated superior mesenteric artery dissection after stenting.
