Abstract:
Chronic subjective dizziness (CSD) refers to a chronic non-rotational dizziness or a subjective imbalance accompanied by hypersensitivity to motion stimuli and poor tolerance for complex visual stimuli or precision visual tasks,occurring in the absence of active vestibular def cits. The concept of CSD, frst introduced by Staab and Ruckenstein in 2004-2005, describes the relationship between psychological factors and other neuro-otologic disorders. They endeavore to provide its etiologies, diagnostic criteria and treatment strategy. Pilots are prone to anxiety symptoms manifested as chronic dizziness due to work pressure, which can cause lack of fight confdence then affecting them in fight. Follow ing is a review of the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatments of CSD.
