Abstract:
Due to the rapid development of computer technology and imaging, intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) has been applied in transsphenoidal pituitary adenoma resection. iMRI can feedback real-time information during surgery, which is beneficial to the precise removal of tumor tissue and also reduces the chance of injurying important blood vessels and nerve structures. The domestic and abroad application status of iMRI, endoscopy and neuronavigation technology in transsphenoidal pituitary adenoma resection are reviewed in this paper.
