Abstract:
Objective To analyze the disqualifcation cases due to surgical and dermatological diseases in recruitment of fight cadets in last two years.
Methods Overall physical examinations were conducted by the same group of surgeons and dermatologists with the same criteria, and those types of diseases which led to disqualifcation of fight cadets were diagnosed and compared in order to analyze the disqualifcation rates.
Results Of the 2 019 selected students who accepted physical examinations in Beijing in 2012, 88 (4.36%) were disqualifed due to 34 types of diseases (38.64%). Of the 1 029 selected students who accepted physical examinations in Beijing in 2013, 86 (8.36%) were disqualifed due to 27 types of diseases (31.40%). The disqualifcation rate in 2013 increased signifcantly compared to that in 2012 (
P< 0.05), and the disease variety in 2013 was quite close to that in 2012 (
P> 0.05).
Conclusion It shows the difference of measuring and judging in physical examination by the air force experts and the colleagues from military regions. There is a need to strengthen communication and regular training so that the gap in measuring and judging in physical examination can be narrowed.
