Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the infuence of plateau and fight environment on parameter of venous blood cells, and provide basis for the high altitude air-force medicine.
Methods Parameters about venous blood cells were examined and compared between 35 fghter pilots and 40 ground staffs before and after 3 months’ high altitude training by fve categories automated hematology analyzer.
Results RBC, HGB, HCT were signifcantly increased and MCHC, PLT, PCT were decreased after plateau training in fghter pilots and ground staffs. Elevated MCV, RDW, MPV, PDW, NEUT%, NEUT
#and lowered LYMPH% were shown after high altitude training in ground staffs. All parameters of ground staffs were within the normal range, however, the RBC, HGB, HCT, PCT in pilots were beyond the normal range. Flight factors had an impact on some parameters about erythrocyte and platelet. Plateau environment affected all parameters about erythrocyte, platelet and neutrophil.
Conclusion This study elucidates that high altitude and fight factors can affect and change all the parameters of venous blood cells.
