Abstract:
Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and orexin receptor 1 (OX1) belong to the GPCRs superfamily, and both of them are widely distributed in the body. They participate in modulating food-intake, energy balance, sleep/awake and food/drug addiction, etc. Former experiments reveal that the distribution of CB1 and OX1 are close enough to form heterodimer. They have "cross-talk" interaction in many aspects. The function of CB1/OX1 and their “cross-talk” interaction are summarized in this article, in order to make a deeply recognition of CB1/OX1-GPCR which may offer entirely novel sets of potential therapeutic targets.
