Abstract: Plantar fasciitis is a self-limited disease with unknown reasons. Currently, there is no radical treatment for plantar fasciitis. Compared with surgical treatment with side effects and high recurrence rate, shock wave therapy shows the advantages of blast safety, noninvasive and high cure rate. Clinical researches of plantar fasciitis treating by shock wave during recent years are summarized in this article.
