Abstract:
Objective To analyze the characteristics of multiple primary malignant neoplasms(MPMN)associated with cervical cancer.
Methods Clinical data about 58 cases who were diagnosed with MPMN associated with cervical cancer and admitted to Chinese PLA General Hospital and Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University form January 2008 to January 2014 were reviewed retrospectively.
Results The rate of cervical cancer accompanied with other primary carcinoma was 1.4 %.The mean age of these patients diagnosed with cancer for the first and second time was 51.8 and 55.2 years old, respectively, with the interval time of 40.19 months(ranged from 0 month to 125 months).In our study, cervical cancer-breast cancer and cervical cancer-lung cancer were the most common types of tumors.The 1-, 2- and 3-year overall survival rates were 82.76%, 75.86%, 70.69%, respectively.
Conclusion Cervical cancer-breast cancer and cervical cancer-lung cancer are the most common type of tumors in these patients diagnosed with MPMN associated with cervical cancer.Furthermore, the prognosis of the early stage of tumors is favorable.
