Abstract:
Objective To analyze the relationship between CT features and risk stratification in patients with gastric stromal tumor (GST).
Methods CT features of 46 patients with GST confirmed by both surgical pathology and immunohistochemistry in First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical University from October 2010 to March 2015 were retrospectively analyzed and compared with risk stratification.
Results Of the 46 cases, 5 cases were classified as very low-risk, 16 as low-risk, 15 as intermediate-risk and 10 as high-risk. The tumor size, shape and necrosis were closely correlated with risk stratification (
P< 0.05). But the growth pattern, location and degree of enhancement of GST were found to have no statistically significant difference with risk stratification (
P> 0.05).
Conclusion The CT features of GST is of important value in assessing different risk of GST, which can provide useful information for prognosis.
