Abstract:
As a new standard topical treatment for primary liver cancer, radiofrequency ablation has achieved a similar effect and higher safety (d≤3 cm) when compared with surgical resection by a large number of clinical studies. For patients with advanced liver cancer that can not be resected radically, efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation are also confirmed. The emergence and application of laparoscopic ultrasound plays a very important role in radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors. This paper summarizes the application of laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation in liver tumors, its indications, contraindications, complications, and postoperative survival, etc, and recent researches and clinical applications about this new technology will also be reviewed.
