Abstract:
Adenomyosis mainly occurs in female from 30 to 45 years old.It is a benign myometrial disease, with progressive dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia caused by diffuse or focal invasion of ectopic endometrial tissue and stroma cells within the myometrium.In recent years, with the development of imaging technology, it needs the combination of imaging manifestation, clinical symptoms, and physical examination for preoperative examination, and the diagnosis of this disease still depends on the pathological results.The most common imaging examinations are transvaginal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging.The purpose of this paper is to review the development of imaging techniques for adenomyosis and related imaging manifestations.
