Abstract: Bone defect treatment is still one of the most difficult tasks in reconstructive bone surgery. Guided bone regeneration provides a new option for it to maintain a good biological environment for bone defects, prevents the growth of fibrous tissue and accelerates fracture healing through the application of membrane material. Therefore, this paper reviews membrane guided bone tissue regeneration in orthopaedics, which may provide a new method for the treatment of long bone defects.
