Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Ruiyun Procedure for Hemorrhoids (RPH) combined with external hemorrhoids excision on circular mixed hemorrhoid.
Methods Two hundred and five cases with circular mixed hemorrhoid admitted to our hospital from September 2016 to March 2017 were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in treatment group (n=110)were treated by RPH combined with external hemorrhoids excision and those in control group (n=95) were treated by Milligan-Morgan operation. The effect and complications including postoperative pain, hemorrhage, uroschesis, anus stenosis, tenesmus and edema around the edge of wound, as well as the days for wound healing were observed and compared in two groups.
Results The cure rate (89%
vs 85%) and tenesmus score (2.16±0.50)
vs (2.42±0.61) had no statistically significant difference between two groups (All P > 0.05). However, there were significant differences in anus stenosis score (0.75±0.55)
vs (1.15±0.59), postoperative VAS score (4.15±0.81)
vs (5.05±1.00), hemorrhage score (0.90±0.64)
vs (1.60±0.75), uroschesis (1.00±0.56)
vs (1.45±0.69), edema score (0.95±0.61)
vs (1.45±0.61), and the days for wound healing (20.35±2.62) d
vs (24.85±2.50) d between treatment group and control group (all
P< 0.05).
Conclusion RPH combined with external hemorrhoids excision is effective and safe for circular mixed hemorrhoid, which is worthy of clinical application.
