Abstract:
The difficulty in treating osteonecrosis of femoral head (ONFH) is to prevent the collapse. Till now, the mechanism of collapse is not yet clear, so it is of great importance to assess the risk of collapse accurately and take measures in early stage timely. At present, there are many methods for predicting the risk of collapse in the femoral head, but they all have different limitations in accuracy and practicality. This article summarizes the methods for predicting risk of collapse from aspects of location and scope of necrosis, radiographic features, and finite element analysis results, which intends to provide evidences for clinical application.
