Abstract: The selections of 253 lymph nodes dissection and ligation level of inferior mesenteric artery are key steps in the radical resection of rectal cancer, which is of great significance for patients with rectal cancer. However, the choices of these key operations are still controversial. According to the existing literatures, these key issues are summarized and analyzed in this review.
