Abstract:
Objective To observe the correlation between vitamins levels and allergic rhinitis.
Methods From November 2017 to December 2018,214 allergic rhinitis patients admitted to our hospital and another 41 healthy controls who had undergone physical examination were enrolled. The levels of vitamin A,B1,B2,B6,B9,B12,C,D and E were detected.
Results The levels of vitamin B6 (
MdIQR:38.8835.54,40.52nmol/L
vs 37.0127.56,39.57nmol/L),B12(MdIQR:504.83443.43,574.64pg/ml
vs 464.58411.81,533.32pg/ml) and vitamin D (
MdIQR:49.5040.52,61.30nmol/L
vs 43.5036.08,50.85nmol/L) in the allergic rhinitis group were higher than those in the normal control group with statistically significant differences (all
P<0.05).The levels of vitamins in the two groups were all in the normal range. There was no significant difference in levels of vitamin A,B1,B2,B9,C and E between the two groups (
P>0.05).
Conclusion The results show that the levels of vitamin B6,B12 and D are higher in the allergic rhinitis group than those in the normal control group. However, further study is needed to explore the relationship between vitamin and allergic rhinitis.
