环状RNA调控干细胞参与骨再生的研究进展

Research advances in role of circular RNA in osteogenesis of stem cells

  • 摘要: 干细胞是骨再生重要的种子细胞之一,近年来以干细胞为核心的骨再生策略已经成为骨科和口腔科的研究热点,但干细胞参与骨再生的机制仍有待深入阐明。环状RNA(circular RNAs,circRNAs)最初被认为是不编码产物的"生物噪音",然而最近的研究发现circRNAs在包括器官发育、疾病发生发展和组织再生修复中均发挥重要调控作用。本文通过归纳circRNAs的特征及生物学功能,综述circRNAs在干细胞成骨过程的表达变化及调控机制的研究前沿进展,并阐明现有研究的局限性,为进一步探索基于circRNAs调控的干细胞骨再生提供新思路。

     

    Abstract: Stem cells are one of the important seed cells for bone regeneration.In recent years,the bone regeneration strategy with stem cells as the core has become a research hotspot in orthopedics and stomatology,but the mechanism of stem cells involved in bone regeneration remains to be further clarified.Circular RNA is initially considered as "biological noise" without coding products.However,recent studies have found that circRNAs play an important regulatory role in organ development,disease occurrence and development,and tissue regeneration and repair.By summarizing the characteristics and biological functions of circRNAs,this paper reviews the research frontiers of the expression changes and regulatory mechanism of circRNAs in the process of stem cell osteogenesis,and clarifies the limitations of existing studies,so as to provide new ideas for further exploration of stem cell bone regeneration regulated by circRNAs.
