Abstract:
Myocardial infarction is an acute cardiovascular disease characterized by poor prognosis caused by heart failure and other complications. Resistance training, such as toe stand for example, is a systematic and scientific training on the purpose of increasing muscle strength. As part of cardiac rehabilitation, resistance training plays an essential role in the primary and secondary prevention of myocardial infarction. Resistance training can improve cardiac function, reduce muscle reduction, improve the quality of life, and help patients return to work and society. We review the possible benefits, mechanism, and the problems in the clinic of resistance training in patients with myocardial infarction in recent researches and aim at increasing the application of resistance training in patients with myocardial infarction.
