Abstract:
Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of Castleman’s disease(CD) by studying its clinical characteristics
Methods A case of CD mainly manifested as eosinophilia was reported and its related literature was reviewed in order to provide some new ideas for its diagnosis and differential diagnosis
Results The patient was a 57-year old male.Physical examination showed that he had eosinophilia, enlargement of lymph nodes in two sides of neck, axillary fossa, groin, and retroperitoneum.Lymph node biopsy showed follicular proliferation of lymph node tissue and plasma cells
Conclusion CD has different clinical manifestations.Histopathological examination and lymph node biopsy contribute to its early diagnosis. The best therapeutic effect of CD can be achieved based on its histopathological and clinical classification.
