Abstract:
Objective To study the feasibility of activated clotting time(ACT) of whole blood collected from arterial sheath after neurosurgical intervention.
Methods Thirty-seven patients without removal of arterial sheath after neurosurgical intervention were enrolled in this study, and 0.1ml blood was collected from their sheath and median cubital vein, respectively, for the detection and analysis of ACT.
Results The ACT of whole blood collected from the sheath and median cubital vein was significantly different(120.21±11.963s vs 124.86±12.669s,P<0.01),which was linearly correlated.
Conclusion ACT of whole blood collected from arterial sheath can be used as the evidence for the removal of arterial sheath.
