Abstract: Objective To investigate the aware,curative and control rates of hypertension in people aged over 60 years in wanshou road communities of Beijing. Methods Hypertension and its treatment were investigated in 2 071 people aged over 60 years in 5 wanshou road communities of Beijing from September 2009 to June 2010 with unified standard questionnaire and their blood pressure was meausred. Results The aware,curative and control rates of hypertension in the aged people were 75.9%,60.8% and 33.2%,respectively.Multiple factor analysis showed that gender,age,BMI,education level,smoking history,and family history of hypertension were the factors influencing the aware,curative and control rates of hypertension. Conclusion Improved health knowledge and comprehensive prevention and control measures are the key measures for increasing the aware,curative and control rates of hypertension in aged people.
