Abstract: Retinamidoster was designed and synthesized in Istitute of Pharmaceutics of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and supplied by The First Pharmaceutical Works of Jin Zhou.It is a retinoid substance derivative initiated and formulated in China.We have made clinical observation in 105 cases,including 64 cases acne,6 cases lupus miliaris disseminated faciei,6 cases ichthyosis, 4 cases pityriasis rubra,etc.Retinamidoester taken orally a capsule 25 mg tid.Rate of cure was 46.67%,markedly improved 71.43%,and overall rate of improvement 97.14%.Among 105 cases treated,30 patients complaned of dryness in the mouth and lip but no other untoward effects.Post-treatment follow up lasted 2～18 months.Cured acne patient showed only a few tiny papules but no recurence.Typical cases of acne vulgaris,lupus miliaris disseminatus faciei and pityriasis rubra pilaris were reported.The effects and side effects of retinamidoester were discussed.
