Abstract:
Objective To summarize the changing rules of early kidney function in living kidney donors after transplantation.
Methods Clinical data on creatinine(Cr) and glomerular filtration rate(GFR) of 85 relative kidney donors before or after operation performed in January 2006-August 2009 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.GFR was detected using the 99Tcm-DTPA renal dynamic image.Renal volume change was observed in 15 donors 1 month before and after operation.
Results The average age of 85 kidney donors was 45.3 years.The average Cr value was(64.3±13.5)μmol/L before operation,and was(36.8±20.6)μmol/L and(89.9±18.1)μmol/L,respectively,1 and 10 days after operation.The average GFR value was(137.6±28.1)ml/min and(73.99±20.45)ml/min,respectively,before and 1 month after operation with a reduction of(58.51±22.3)ml/min or an decrease of(43.8±14.3)% and was(89.75±18.2)ml/min 3-6 month after operation.The average kidney volume was 5.2cm×5.5cm×10.9cm before operation and 4.7cm×4.9cm×10.6cm in 3 patients with their age<30 years with an average decrease of 0.56cm×0.6cm×0.3cm,and was 4.66cm×5.08cm×10.6cm,5.48cm×6.02cm×11.65cm in 12 patients with their age>30 years 1 month after operation with an average increase of 0.82cm×0.94cm×1.05cm.
Conclusion Serum Cr is significantly increased in donors after operation with a fluctuation rate of 50%,and decreases slowly 10 days after operation.The compensatory GFR does not significantly increase in solitary kidney 3-6 month before operation and needs further observation,and significantly compensatory increases in donors over the age of 30 years after operation,and does not obviously increase in those at the age of less than 30 years.
