Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of locking proximal humeral plate(LPHP) for three-part and four-part fractures of proximal humeral.
Methods: 24 cases of three-part and four-part fractures of proximal humeral were treated with LPHP from February 2005 to April 2007 in our center,which involved 10 males and 14 females with average age of 55.8.All patients were followed up with Neer score system.
Results: The mean duration of follow-up was 14.5 months.According to Neer scoring system,10 patients were rated as excellent,7 as good,4 as fair,1 as poor.The rate of excellent and good was 77.27%.
Conclusion: LPHP showed good results for three-part and four-part fractures of proximal humeral.
