Abstract: Objective: To study the effects of Jiangtang Mixture on blood glucose and blood lipid in normal mice and diabetic mice induced by alloxan.Methods: In normal animal experiment,the blood glucose was mesured at 3h after treatment by Jiangtang Mixture.To establish diabetic model: The mice were injected with 72 mg·kg^-1 alloxan.Blood glucose and blood lipid were determined by using automatic biochemistry analyzer.Jiangtang Mixture-treated groups were devided into three groups,(5 g·kg^-1)、10 and 20 g·kg^-1,ig.Results: The serum blood glucose,triglyceride,total cholesterol,creatinine and urea were increased in alloxan mice.Jiangtang Mixture decreased the Glu significantly in normal mice and diabetic mice.When treated 20 d,the levels of triglyceride and total cholesterol also drop down.Conclusion: Jiangtang Mixture possesses potent effect of anti-diabetes.
