Abstract:
Objective To investigate the mood state and mental health of aircrews.
Methods Mood state and mental health of aircrews and ground crews admitted to our hospital from January to December 2008 were investigated with profile of mood state(POMS) and symptom checklist 90(SCL-90),respectively.
Results The scores of passive mood factors,including tiredness-inertia and perplexity-confusion,were significantly higher for aircrews than for ground crews(P<0.05).The scores of positive mood factors,including somatization,compulsory symptoms,interpersonal relation sensitivity,depression,anxiety and horror according to the SCL-90 were significantly higher for aircrews than for ground crews(P<0.05).
Conclusion The mood state and mental health of aircrews may deteriorate at a certain extent.
