Abstract:
Objective To study anatomic structure of proximal femur of rabbits and the feasibility of infusion cells by trephination and decompression in the femur head.
Methods The features of proximal femur in 20 New Zealand rabbits used as experimental animals were observed by micro-CT and gross measurement.
Results The fossa trochanterica of rabbit was deeply located. The minimal diameter of femoral neck was larger than 4mm.
Conclusion A 2mm Kirschner wire or a bone marrow puncture needle can be used to infuse cells by trephination and decompression.
