Abstract: Objective To study the cooperation of surgical nurses during uniport video-assisted thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy. Methods Cooperation characteristics and experience of surgical nurses in uniport video-assisted thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy for 29 patients were retrospectively reviewed. Results Careful preparation of surgical nurses before operation and good communication between surgical nurses and patients were the prerequisite for the successful operation.Aseptic manipulation,close observation of operation processes,rapid and accurate delivery of surgical instruments were the keys to a success of the operation. Conclusion Uniport video-assisted thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy requires the effective cooperation of surgical nurses.Only by careful preparation and summarization of their experience,can such an operation procedure be successfully performed.
