Abstract:
A 48-year old woman was admitted on November 19,1985 because found of a shadow in the right lower lung 13 years ago,which grew slowly in size during the first 10 years,but rapidly in the recent 3 years,accompanied by cough,chest pain,and low fever in last ten months.
On physical examination,she was found to appear essentially well.The skin was normal and no enlarged lymph nodes were found.Dullness and decreased breath sounds over the right lower lung were found in both lungs,but without rales.The liver and spleen were palpable 1cm and 4cm below the right and left costal margin respectively.A large mass in the right lower lung and patchy shadows in the left upper and lower lung were found in chest film.A thoractomy was performed,and biopsy from the involved lung confirmed the diagnosis of lymphomatoid granulomatosis.She was treated with COP chemotherapy and radiothrapy,her general condition improved without any chang in the size of the lung masses till November 1986.
