Abstract: Iron stores in the blood from 510 doners were evaluated by measuring the serum ferritin. The resulfs are as follows: iron-deficiency in 44.31% of all donors（40.79% in males and 50.54% in females）. It appears, therefore, essential to give ferrite persistetently to the donors who give their blood for a long period of time.
