Immunophotosensitizer: The preparation and cytoxic properky of monoclonal anki-CEA antibody-hematoporphyrin conjugate

Abstract: The immunopholosensitizer was prepared by conjugating Hematoporphrin with anti-CEA McAb. It It showed cytotoxicity to human colon carcinoma cell line SW1116 which was CEA positive in the presence of light, but no cytotoxicity to CEA-negative Hep-2 cell line. The cytotoxicity of immunophotosensitizer was much higher than mixture of anti-CEA McAb and Hematoporphyrin. This property clearly makes it possible to use lower dose of drug, and minimize undesired side effects.
